Stan Kroenke, who holds the majority share in Premier League football club Arsenal, has caused controversy with the launch of his own hunting channel, My Outdoor TV.

The American entrepreneur is billing this as a ‘bloodpsorts’ channel and those in support of his venture have described it as the ‘Netflix of the hunting world’.

Naturally the channel, which has already been running in the United States, has caused controversy among animal rights groups and activists. The online network’s programming will follow hunters across the globe, as hunters take part in ‘big-money’ hunting trips.

Hunters will display an array of methods and techniques to kill their prey including the use of bow and arrows, as well as guns.

To say Kroenke is an unpopular figure in the world of sport is an understatement – a large number of Arsenal fans want the American to sell his majority shares in the club due to his supposed ‘disinterest’ in this year’s FA Cup winners – and the UK launch of his hunting channel is sure to anger even more people.

Philippa King, chief operating officer of the League Against Cruel Sports, has already spoken out against the launch of MOTV.

Speaking to The Times, King said:

We’re living in a world now where most people can see how brutal and shameful trophy hunting is, yet the Arsenal boss is choosing to launch his sick TV channel in the UK…

Mr Kroenke could do the world a great favour by stopping peddling this kind of sickening TV and turning his focus on helping the animals he apparently likes to see killed.

However the channel’s spokesman, Simon Barr, has defend MOTV saying it ‘will present ethical, fair chase hunting’.

As well as hunting and shooting programmes, MOTV is also planning programming on how to cook your kills.

I’m sure this’ll go down a storm with animal rights groups and vegetarians…
