A farmer from Texas has made an awesome discovery involving a newborn animal and a legendary rockstar from the band KISS.
Rancher Leonard Taccetta spotted the similarity between the baby calf and Gene Simmons – complete with the infamous tongue and black and white facial markings.
The baby cow, who was born just days ago, has subsequently been named Genie in homage of the famous bassist.
Taccetta sent a photo of the newborn to the local tourism board – Hill Country Tourism – who took to Facebook to share the uncanny resemblance.
Hill County Tourism even implied Simmons may be the father adding on the post:
Where were you on our [sic] about November 25, 2016?
Not only does the calf match Simmons’ black and white make up with it’s facial markings, but it even copies his legendary pose, showing the world his big pink tongue.
Simmons – who has famously bragged about sleeping with nearly 5,000 women – has been at the centre of a rock’n’roll urban legend that says his long tongue is down to having a ‘cow tongue graft’ – something the 67-year-old rocker has always denied.
On the band’s official Facebook page, fans were extremely amused with the similarities with one user saying:
Dammit, gene, I know you slept with, like a thousand women, but c’mon man!!!!’
Another joked:
What happens on the road, is supposed to say on the road.
Simmons himself didn’t seem to be too fazed with the attention – after all, he’s pretty used to it.
He took to his Twitter to say:
This is real, folks!!
Hill Country Visitor’s Facebook Page said the calf has been saved from the slaughterhouse following its new found fame:
Obviously, we can’t serve this fine specimen. We may just keep Genie as we call her, as a Mascot for the Steakhouse.
Looks like God Gave Rock’n’Roll to moo indeed.
