This is Muni, and she was apparently abandoned due to her unconventional vision.
But luckily for the three-year-old Siamese cat, she was rescued by Ani Hovsepian from a life on the streets of Armenia.
Since those dark days in 2012 the feline is now living the life of luxury, and videos of her just chilling around the house have gone viral.
Being cross-eyed does have one drawback for a cat though. Prey is given a huge advantage when it wants to escape.
Her owner Ani confirmed that Muni’s hunting ability isn’t exactly prolific.
She said:
Muni being cross-eyed doesn’t particularly affect her vision although it will if she goes to try and catch a bug or a fly.
Often, she will look straight past them, so she isn’t the best mouse catcher.”
Adding:
When her toys are in front of her though, she is absolutely fine.
I think Muni was abandoned because of her eyes and the way that she looks.
Whoever owned her didn’t realise how lucky they were to have such a special cat.
Since I began taking photos of her, she loves the attention and has turned into quite the diva.”
Cats are pretty damn clever at times. Maybe Muni has just mastered the sympathy vote?
