A corgi has gone viral for comforting an upset man at an airport whose dog had died the day before.
Cora the corgi was rescued from a backyard breeding home in July, just before her 8th birthday.
She’d given birth to over 15 litters throughout her lifetime and the toll it’d taken on her body was enormous.
In her last litter, only one healthy puppy survived, so her family decided she had to go.
She had many health issues and had never seen love and affection, but it didn’t stop her from being loving to others.
This is where Madison Palm comes in, who only planned to foster Cora, but was so in love with her, she had to adopt her.
Madison told The Dodo because Cora is so excited to meet every single person she comes across, she’s decided to get her trained as a therapy dog.

Cora’s personality is so amazing, she’s a lover. She’s always right next to me and always keeps a close eye if she’s not.
If I’m not available she’ll pick the next closest lap to sit on and nudges your hand unless you’re petting her at all times.
She is SO sweet and is usually the first thing people say about her. Her gentle and kind nature never goes unnoticed.
Cora loves to approach strangers when out and about, which is what led to the beautiful moment in the airport.
Cora and her mum were travelling and ended up stuck in an airport with a delayed flight, so the two were sat waiting in the lounge.

Cora just kind of walked around in our little seating area and said hi to everyone who was walking by and sitting near us.
She was taking a snooze so I let go of her leash briefly while I relaxed and had a snack; that is when she woke up and snuck over to him.
Before I could even call her she was already at his feet being loved on.
Cora quietly tip toed away from me during our crazy long layover and plopped herself right next to a complete stranger….

Palm watched as her doggo sat with the traveller, worried she might be bothering him, but it quickly became apparent this was not the case.
Palm said:
I asked him if she was bothering him and with a somber face and watery eyes he said, ‘No, no; I lost my dog last night’.
He scratched behind her ears, patted her on the back and was whispering how cute she was.
He took out his phone to snap a photo and she sat directly in front of him facing him and staying perfectly still for it.
She knows who’s hurting and knows who needs her. I’ve never questioned that.
I’m blown away by her on a daily basis. Who knew a dog, who was unloved for seven and a half years, could have so much love to give?
I’m not crying, you’re crying.
