Up to 70 Firefighters are battling to extinguish a blaze at a London Zoo.
The London Fire Brigade said they received a call at 6.08am and that around 70 officers and ten fire engines were currently working to put out at a fire which started in the cafe and shop area of the park.
The closest animals to the area in which the fire is burning is the meerkat enclosure – although it is not reported that any animals are in immediate danger.
One of the many reasons I’m against zoos- in the wild animals can escape. Here they are unable to get away & are dependent on humans. Praying none are injured > London Zoo fire: 70 firefighters tackle cafe blaze https://t.co/RX1abg2kVS pic.twitter.com/o3qQ5mhFL4
