Hamerton Zoo has confirmed that no animals have escaped from the Cambridgeshire park.
The park was closed this morning as emergency services attended to the scene of a ‘serious incident’.
Social media was soon awash with reports a tiger had escaped.
A zoo spokesperson told UNILAD:
I can confirm no animal has escaped and full details will be sent out in a press release later this afternoon.
