But this girl can be forgiven, bride Patti Womer loves her two horses, Dutch and Cricket, so much so that she wanted them to be a part of wedding day.

Cricket decided she wanted in on the action and the perfect moment was captured by photographer Tony Bendele.

Looking as though she’s pulling the world’s cheesiest grin Cricket has very quickly achieved viral fame, while Dutch also looks as though he’s having to hold back a good old laugh too.

Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, Patti said:

I honestly don’t mind having attention on her instead of me. Dutch and Cricket are such a big part of me, and I will always have a special place in my heart for them.

Dutch and Cricket were the first horses she and her dad bought together when Patti was just eight-years-old.

Patti’s dad passed away in May 2016 and in a way of representing him on her special day, she rode Cricket but she walked Dutch, her father’s horse, with an empty saddle right beside her.

She said:

This just showed that my father was there with me through the whole thing.

Photographing a horse at a wedding wasn’t anything new for photographer Tony Bendele, who has done his share of wildlife photography too.

He told Yahoo Lifestyle:

I’m very used to working with animals, but I’ve never seen a horse doing the smile like that.

It actually caught my eye initially when we first started doing the photographs. As the bride was smiling the horse would look up and put its teeth just like that.

Patti said while she loves the photo, she isn’t entirely convinced Cricket was grinning for the camera.

Adding:

Honestly, the horse is just shaking her head trying to get a fly off or something but with her showing her teeth, it looks like she is smiling.

Another couple had their special moment photobombed by the animal kingdom recently, just as one man got down on one knee.

I can always count on you to lift me up ?

Nick Kelbe and his girlfriend Hayley Roll were at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden in Ohio, when Nick decided to get down on one knee in front of their favourite animal, a hippo named Fiona.

Deciding that she wanted the best seat in the house, Fiona swam down to the window and watched an ecstatic Hayley say ‘yes’.

And sure they were upstaged by the cute animal but the couple were absolutely delighted.

The excited bride-to-be shared a photo of the occasion on Instagram writing:

We’re so happy Fiona could be there on our special day.

Here’s to many more years of going to zoos with you.

The weeks apart make the days together even more special. Can't wait to see my handsome man tonight ??❤

Hayley, a radiology tech at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, is reported by The Daily Buzz as saying:

We went to the zoo for our one year anniversary and Fiona was in the window.

We are huge Fiona fans and have been following her since she was born.

Nick, my boyfriend and I were waiting in line to get our photo taken with Fiona and I gave my cell phone to someone to take the photo and when I turned back around, Nick was on one knee proposing.

The proposal couldn’t have been any better!
