ITVITV has been forced to lock down the I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here camp after deadly spiders were discovered close to where the stars sleep.
Eight funnel web spiders, which are one of the most deadly spider species on the planet, were found in a camera hide close to the Murwillumbah camp.
The show’s bosses are now concerned that more of the deadly spiders could make their way into the camp The Mirror reports.
WikimediaThe man who organises the show’s infamous trials Bob McCarron, has explained how dangerous these wall crawling menaces can be.
He said:
In Australia we have the world’s most dangerous spider which is the ‘funnel web’. The funnel web’s are the most dangerous spider in the world.
There is an anti-venom and of course none of the celebs have ever been bitten by them – a couple of crew have been bitten in the past.
In fact this year in one of the camera hides we found eight. That’s the most we’ve ever found in one day.
ITVProducers are now allegedly worried for the so called celebs as they don’t often find these dangerous creatures on the set.
This isn’t the first time creatures have menaced the I’m a celeb camp – back in 2010 both Shaun Ryder and former MP Lempik Opik were bitten by snakes.
Let’s be honest, unless the spiders have a taste for washed up celebrity flesh I’m pretty confident the show’s stars are safe from the eight legged menace.
