Kaley Cuoco has been forced to apologise after her July 4th Instagram post offended some people who desperately wanted to be offended.
The Bing Bang Theory star’s ‘patriotic’ post landed her in trouble with a number of her fellow Americans, reports Refinery29.
Apparently people weren’t happy because the photo featured one of her dogs lying down on the U.S flag. Yep, really.
After being branded ‘disrespectful’ she took the picture down and posted a heartfelt apology:
First off, please know, I have the utmost respect for my country. I am a proud American in every sense of the word.
I understand the American flag stands for our freedom and represents American heroes, past and present.
Yesterday I made a mistake by posting the picture that was taken of my sweet dogs posing on an American flag.
Wow, so we can safely assume she’s sorry for… oh no wait, there’s more…
I sincerely apologise to anyone that has been offended by my previous post. This in no way reflects my feelings toward what the American flag represents.
Living in the public eye, can be extremely difficult at times. Every mistake and every imperfection is amplified. I am not perfect. I am a proud American, today, tomorrow, always.
I hope her disrespectful bloody dogs are sorry too.
