A stunningly witchy beauty, Elli had magical black fur all over, except for her sweet little snowy nose.
Alongside her sister Rosie, Nicole found Elli at a farm back when they were babies. Poor Elli was very small indeed at the time, and was suffering from infections and mites.
After caring for the two sweet sisters for a year, Nicole noticed something unusual about little Elli. A white speck, barely noticeable, had emerged on Elli’s back, like a tiny fallen snowflake on her glossy coat.
Nicole didn’t think too much into it, according to Metro, but then further specks began to appear on her coat over the coming months, a snowstorm of white flecks against the midnight sky of her coat.
After taking the mysterious girl to the vet, Nicole was informed that Elli had vitiligo, a condition which causes skin to change its pigment.
According to Pet MD:
In addition to affecting the skin, vitiligo can also cause hair to turn white. Like humans, dogs and cats can develop vitiligo.
Although your dog or cat may start to look a little funny with patches of white skin and fur, there is no need to worry. Vitiligo is painless and won’t bother your pet at all.
Nicole told the Metro how Elli looked like a completely different cat within just two years, revealing ‘It changed very quickly.’
Luckily, Elli is said to be in fine health, with her condition only affecting her outer furry appearance.
Nicole explained how she is ‘very playful, cute, interested, lovely,’ fond of sunbathing and lounging around on the sofa. Oh Elli, I get you.
