If you’re sat there thinking ‘What the bloody hell is that?’ then spare a thought for the folks who saw this mysterious creature wash up in real life – ‘hairy’ and ‘globster’ are not things you want to come across on the beach.

The massive piece of wtf washed up looking ‘like a dead monster’, sparking fears of an impending natural disaster.

Did you ever watch Lost? Dunno why, but this is making me think of that. Great show. Terrible ending. Sorry, back to the weird thing that’s washed up news.

Villagers in the Oriental Mindoro province of the Philippines flocked to see the 20ft dead carcass and to pose for selfies with it.

But others, with less pressing social media minds, have fears it could be a sign of a natural disaster.

One person, Vincent Dela Pena Badillo said:

Many were alarmed, including me, when we learned the news about it. It has been told that when creatures from the deepest parts of the ocean start appearing, something bad will happen.

I couldn’t believe what it was, I’ve never seen anything like it. In God’s name, I was shocked. The children were scared it was a dead monster. Nobody knows what it is yet.

Residents gathered around the ‘globster’ laying in the shallow waters on the beach in the town of San Antonio.

At around 4ft wide at one end and 2ft wide at the other, with a greyish white colour, a similar ‘globster’ appeared in the Dinagat Islands, Philippines, last February, which officials said was an Orca whale or a manatee.

Government workers from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources will now dispose of the creature, which they believe could be a dead whale.

Fishery Law Enforcement Officer, Vox Krusada, said:

Today we just gathered a sample of it for further analysis.

For now we can say it’s a whale, but the exact species is still unknown. The tissue samples are now sent to our lab for DNA analysis.

The local government of Gloria will now bury the carcass. And damn it smells awful. It smells like something from another planet.

I really experienced the full power of its smell because i’m the one who took the tissue samples. I almost puked. I felt better after taking a bath but the stench still lingers in my nose.

Think I’ll go for a city break for my next holiday.
