In the footage the snake is seen devouring a possum bigger than its head, then swallowing it whole as it dangles from a tree. The video was shot in Sydney by Pauline Gulleford, who watched the diamond back python digest the Australian marsupial for over an hour out the back of her house. Bit grim.
Like most snakes, the python can swallow animals that are a lot bigger than the diameter of their head, the Daily Mail reports.
