Strange posters looking for a mysterious horse-headed creature with humanoid hands started appearing around Hull’s Longhill council estate recently.
As much as Brits love their mythical creatures – the Loch Ness Monster, Big Foot, the Beast of Bodmin, etc – this one seemed just a bit too staged to be a real sighting.
All the photos of the ‘Longhill Visitor’ have appeared on three main Twitter accounts, two of which are new and one which belongs to a theatre company, the Daily Star reports.
Most of the photos look professionally taken and are covered by a large question mark.
However, the Longhill Visitor has all the hallmarks of a viral campaign due to the hashtag provided on Twitter.
The poster reads:
Looks friendly, perhaps a bit lost.
Needs someone to show it around, can you help?
Performing arts company Lone Twin, run by artists Gary Winters and Gregg Whelan, posted a suspicious looking tweet too:
Whatever its purpose, the Longhill Visitor has spooked a few residents and its hands kind of freak me out.
