A hardworking ginger cat called Bobo has been working in the same store everyday for the last nine years and never taken a day off.
When Bobo was a kitten he was brought to the shop in New York’s Chinatown by an employee who couldn’t find a home for the tiny cat.
The store owners immediately bonded with the little bundle of fur and they began to look after him, one customer, a lawyer who owned four cats of her own, began to bring Bobo food and take him the vets.
In 2014 though Annie began working at the store and she became Bobo’s primary carer, even propelling him to international fame on Instagram.
Speaking to cat fan site LoveMeow Annie explained:
At the store, he likes to sit near the entrance and greet customers. He has his own scratcher lounge towards the front of the store and likes to sit there. He also likes to look out the window, a curious cat!
Bobo has some pretty important responsibilities in the store, including sitting on pieces of cardboard that fall on the ground and greeting other cats that pop into the store.
Normally I’d be tempted to pick holes in the story, I mean lets be honest it’s not like the cat’s stocking shelves or dealing with irritating customers, but Bobo’s just too cute too criticise.
I can’t get over him never missing a day of work, must be to do with his nine lives?
