PAThe RSPCA has issued a warning following the publication of a photo of Prince George feeding his dog an ice cream.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge probably weren’t expecting such a backlash when they released images of the young prince’s third birthday, reports The Guardian.
PAHowever, backlash is what they got, as one of the snaps appears to show George holding an ice-cream lolly covered with white chocolate under pet Spaniel, Lupo’s nose.
Experts have now warned people against feeding ice cream to their canine pals, as not only can dairy products cause dogs digestive problems, chocolate is highly toxic to dogs.

It is lovely that Prince George is trying to help keep his family dog, Lupo, cool in these high temperatures.
We would advise people to be cautious when giving their dogs food meant for human consumption.
Instead of ice-cream we would suggest making an ice lolly from pet-friendly ingredients. Making these can be really fun for children and the end product is both safe and enjoyable for dogs.

A spokesman for Kensington Palace said:
The Duke and Duchess hope that people will enjoy seeing these new photographs.
They would like to thank everyone for all the lovely messages they have received as Prince George celebrates his third birthday.
However, he declined to comment on ‘ice-cream-gate’.
If that’s a white chocolate Magnum you wouldn’t catch me sharing it with a dog…
