FlickrAs if cats aren’t sinister enough, a company has apparently invented a collar that allows your cat to speak to you with a human voice.
If – and this is a big if – this is legit, then the Temptations Catterbox 3D-printed collar will translate your pet’s meows into speech. I know, terrifying right.
The collar uses a microphone, speaker, bluetooth technology, and WiFi and according to London ad agency adam&eveDDB, it will ‘give voice to your cat’s innermost thoughts for the very first time’ reports CNET.
Temptations global brand director Pete Simmons told AdWeek:
We’re fascinated by cats, so we set out on a mission to get to know them better.
We learned that an adult cat’s meow is their way to communicate with humans and, by investing in this prototype device, we can start to improve understanding between them both.
Apparently the collar records the cats’ meows, analyses them and then uses a programme to turn them into a human voice.
Obviously there’s no way of determining how accurate the results are but on the plus side you can select the perfect human voice for your cat using the accompanying app.
In theory we will finally know if they are actually planning to kill us and take over the world or whether they simply look down on us as we pathetically scramble for their love and respect.
