It’s long been my personal dream to own a huge, cuddly cat with a purr which fills a room. My very own tubby mini tiger with a great, thudding lasso of a tail.
Of course, I don’t reckon my flatmate would be mega keen to come home of an evening and see such a beast sprawled across the sofa, but I can but dream.
However, for one lucky chonky cat lover in Philadelphia, all their Christmases can come at once with the voluptuous – the magnificent – Mr B.
Currently residing at Morris Animal Refuge, Mr B. is now searching for his forever home where he will be given the indulgent life he deserves. And you’re going to need a bigger mat.
Weighing in at a glorious 26 lbs, Mr B. – who also answers to the name BeeJay – has broken the internet with his mighty heft, after Morris Animal Refuge’s Facebook post about him went viral.
According to this post – which has earned well over 6,000 shares at the time of writing – Mr B. is a ‘jumbo-sized package of fluff & love’:
OMG, big boi Mr. B is a CHONK. He’s a chonk of a chonk. He redefines the term. Can you guess how much he weighs? More importantly, can you give him a home? Adopt this jumbo-sized package of fluff & love, and help this sad-eyed guy find happiness!
The woman in the photograph appears to be struggling to hold the prodigious puss, who looks like he’s just wandered off the set of The Lion King. And it would appear this Simba will have no issue claiming his kingdom.
Incredibly, people have been so flabbergasted by the sight of this mammoth moggy, the number of visitors completely overwhelmed the Morris Animal Refuge website, causing it to crash.
Pet seekers have been left swooning at the prospect of snuggling up with Mr. B. on a cold winter’s evening, with many declaring their undying love for the towering tabby.
One person commented:
He is one of the most beautiful boys I’ve ever seen. My heart melted! I want to cuddle up with him and give him all my love!
Another besotted individual gasped:
Is this gorgeous gentleman still available? Would love to give his royal furriness a home. Obviously you’re inundated…but I’m still gonna call you tomorrow because LAWD what a prince!!!
Let the battle for this big boi commence…
