SWNSPolice have reportedly been called by the vile thugs who crippled a bulldog, after one of the pair was dealt a does of street justice.
Daniel and Andrew Frankish avoided a custodial sentence last month after they hurled the helpless pet down the stairs and beating it.
The dog, known as ‘Baby’, lost the use of its back legs and was put down three months after the horrific attack.
SWNSAs reported by the Daily Mirror, a police spokesperson said:
A 36-year-old man was arrested following a call from occupants of a house in Redcar just after 11.05pm on Sunday, April 3.
The man was interviewed and subsequently released with no further police action.
People may have the best of intentions, but they could put themselves at risk and they can also disrupt police or RSPCA investigations.
We would advise people not to carry out their own inquiries, but to contact the authorities and raise their concerns so they can be investigated thoroughly and in the safest possible way.
The brothers plead guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to Baby, receiving a 21 week prison sentence suspended for two years.
They were handed a six-month tagged curfew between the hours of 8pm-6am and ordered to pay £300 costs, plus a life ban on pet ownership with no right to appeal for 20 years.
Animal rights activists have since campaigned for a review of the sentence with a petition set up on Change.org calling for the case to be revisited.
