– They fled from the Red Army, but the train never reached its destination
– Last week, two lads discovered the train and its supposed contents in a tunnel near Walbrzych. They also want 10 per cent of the value.

Polish authorities have since held a crisis meeting in which they warned treasure hunters not to proceed. Why? Because the train may have been boobytrapped by the Nazis. Classic Nazi tricks.
The deputy mayor of Walbrzych confirmed yesterday there is ‘formal information’ that a military train has indeed been discovered. At this stage there is no mention of valuables, just military equipment. The Polish state treasure and culture ministry have been brought into the mix for good measure.

The only downer at the moment is that it could take six months to dig the train up, assuming it’s buried.
