If you’re a fan of Adele, you might want to go and grab a box of tissues.
The global superstar, who is close to wrapping up her world tour after spending more than 15 months on the road, has revealed some sad news to fans.
The mum-of-one, who headlined Glastonbury last year, revealed the news inside her official tour programme.
In the heartfelt note, the 29-year-old London native confirmed that she may never tour again!
Confirming what she’s been hinting at for months, the note read:
So this is it after 15 months on the road and 18 months of ’25’ we are at the end.
We have taken this tour across the UK and Ireland, throughout Europe, all over America and I finally got to go to Australia and New Zealand too.
Despite admitting that the journey had been an incredible one, Adele, who recently spent time to visit victims of the Grenfell Tower fire, said she missed her home comforts:
Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn’t suit me particularly well.
I’m a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things, plus I’m dramatic and have a terrible history of touring….until now that is!
I’ve done 119 shows and these last 4 will take me up to 123, it has been hard out an absolute thrill and pleasure to have done.
The star, who hails from London, said she wanted her final shows to be in her home city as she was unsure as to whether she’ll ever tour again.
She continued:
I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artists have had on me live.
Thank you for coming, for all of your ridiculous love and kindness.
I will remember all of this for the rest of my life.
She signed off the message with the words:
Love you. Goodnight for now.
It’s not the first time Adele has hinted that she wouldn’t be touring again.
She told fans after her shows in Australia and New Zealand that she didn’t think touring was for her.
Adele said:
I don’t know if I will ever tour again, the only reason I’ve toured is you.
I’m not sure if touring is my bag?
Say it ain’t so!
