Love Island 2017 winner Amber Davies and pop star Olly Murs have reportedly been DM-ing after spotting each other out in a restaurant.
According to reports, Olly recently split up with TV presenter Melanie Sykes, while Amber’s relationship with fellow Love Island contestant, Kem Cetinay ended at the start of the month.
A source told reporters Olly recognised Amber because he’s a fan of the popular ITV2 reality show.
The source in question told The Sun:
They started sending each other messages on Instagram after they realised they were both at the same restaurant.
Olly knew exactly who Amber was, as he’d watched Love Island while the show was on during the summer.
While Amber couldn’t believe she was receiving messages from one of the UK’s biggest pop stars, she was wearing a very sexy outfit that evening and Olly certainly took notice.
I do wonder who this ‘source’ is?
Whoever they are, they continued:
If either Amber or Olly want to take it to the next level, there’s definitely a mutual attraction.
However, both have told pals they’re enjoying living the single life.
However, a representative for Olly Murs told Metro.co.uk the pair haven’t actually met and have only messaged each other ‘on one occasion’.
Amber and Kem’s split came just four months after they got together and five months after meeting on the reality dating show.
A close friend said it was all down to their busy schedules, which meant they didn’t have ‘enough time together’ and said it was ‘a real shame’ because ‘they still love each other’.
Olly, on the other hand, was rumoured to be secretly dating Melanie Sykes for about a year, after ‘exchanging a series of racy messages and bonding over their fitness regimes’.
Yet a recent post from the presenter confirmed she was indeed single.
Taking to Instagram, Mel wrote:
To all those writing sh*te about me and my life. This is what a single, happy, healthy, 47yrs old independent mother of two teenage sons looks like. DEAL WITH IT!
Relationship gossip aside, Olly, who made his name by coming second on The X Factor back in 2009, has now embedded himself into British television mush further, as he now takes up a place as a judge on The Voice – he‘ll join will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Jennifer Hudson when the new series begins early next year.
It’s a jump from one ship to another as he’d previously presented The X Factor in 2015 alongside Caroline Flack.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for Olly and Amber, won’t we?
