After 11 years of marriage, television host Ant McPartlin is set to divorce from his wife Lisa Armstrong.

I’m A Celeb‘s Ant has had a difficult 2017 as he checked himself into rehab in June after battling with drink and drug addictions.

Now his marriage to make-up artist Lisa appears to have come to an end as.The Sun, she told friends that it is ‘definitely over’.

The news comes only days after Ant’s best friend and co-host Dec, was seen picking up dog Hurley from their family home in London and according to The Sun, Lisa has told friends it’s ‘definitely over’.

Ant has been living a completely separate life from Lisa since he returned from Australia, after cameras wrapped on the recent series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Now sources close to the couple have told The Sun things aren’t looking good for the future:

She has told several friends the marriage is over.

Ant’s rented flat was meant to be a temporary arrangement but there are no signs of him moving. It’s becoming harder to see a way back.

He knows they need heart-to-heart talks but since he’s returned from the jungle they just haven’t happened and what’s more, it doesn’t look likely to any time soon.

Thinking about calling divorce lawyers, it’s clear the couple are not in a good place with sources adding Lisa doesn’t know what to do.

She’s told several friends their marriage is definitely over and she’s considering meeting lawyers to discuss things.

But on other days she’s been more confident they can fix things. She desperately wants it to work out.

But at times she feels it won’t work no matter what she does and her only option is to deal with that as best as she can.

Meeting on the Smash Hits tour in 1994 when Ant was 18 and Lisa was 17, the two quickly fell for each other, but they’ve had difficulties in their marriage as they struggled to start a family.

Their relationship was further tested when Ant entered rehab after he became addicted to painkillers following a botched knee operation.

Although he fully recovered after spending two months in rehab, it appears their marriage never did as a source added:

Lisa and Ant have remained friendly and he continues to be grateful of her support.

Lisa was very understanding of his need for time alone. She has always felt he’d come back when ready but that hasn’t happened.

He’s done brilliantly to recover from his addiction but it’s taken its toll on his marriage as well as his health.

It remains to be seen whether that can recover as well as he has.

We hope the couple work it out whatever the result may be.
