Arnold Schwarzenegger is a guy with a lot of positive points. The fella is an environmentalist, a helper of the elderly, quite literally the Terminator and now he’s written a rap song. What did we ever do to deserve this?
We’re not quite sure how he’s had time to venture into the world of music in between reprising his iconic role in The Terminator and erm, getting kicked in the back, but you better believe Schwarzenegger is back and this time he’s attempting to conquering the music industry too.
Well, maybe that’s taking it a little bit too far, but he has written a rap song, which by all accounts we would never recommend a 71-year-old man to do, and it’s truly bizarre.
The actor teamed up with Austrian singer Andreas Gabalier, who you may know from those well known classics Julapalu and Zuckerpuppen, to create ‘Pump It Up (The Motivation Song)’, and it even comes with a video too.
Gabalier takes us through Schwarzenegger’s inspirational journey through life, starting form when he became a steel machine at the tender age of 19, before the actor launches into his epic rap.
He begins with ‘Terminator, superstar. They call you Conan the Barbar. Pumpin’ iron, steel machine. Living legend, evergreen. GOVERNATOOOOR, Mr. Universe Olympia.’
Then Gabalier continues by talking through Schwazenegger’s iconic career, which began when he starred in Hercules in New York, but that’s when the music starts to really take hold.

You didn’t really think we’d get four and a half minutes of musical madness from the actor without his classic ‘hasta la vista, baby’, did you?
The song really does offer up some motivational advice like ‘work like hell, trust yourself and all your dreams come true,’ which is really what we needed to hear on this dull Friday morning.
It’s fair to say the entire song kind of just offers up a humble brag of all Schwarzenegger’s life achievements. Fair play.
Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger fans only have until October to wait until the release of Terminator: Dark Fate, starring the main man himself and his original co-star Linda Hamilton.
Terminator: Dark Fate is directed by Tim Miller and produced by James Cameron and heavily anticipated from fans of the franchise, given T2: Judgement Day premiered all the way back in 1991.
Terminator: Dark Fate is set to premiere on October 23, 2019.
