Charlie Frederick could make a return to Love Island after leaving the show on Friday.
As we get deeper into Love Island 2018, welcoming new contestants and waving goodbye to others, we’re getting used to the drama that’s thrown at us every night. But one twist could really get the contestants fired up, as Charlie could potentially make a ‘dramatic return’ to the villa.
If you were keeping track of the Love Island contestants by their eyebrows, you may have overlooked Charlie entirely, because, as many people pointed out, he appears to severely lack them.

At first, it didn’t matter much if he didn’t leave an impression, as Charlie left the villa on Friday. However, in a dramatic twist, he may be in line to return to Love Island this season.
ITV2 bosses are supposedly ‘desperate’ for Charlie to return to the show.
An insider spoke to The Sun about Charlie’s possible comeback.
Charlie was a hit with viewers and behind the scenes everyone thinks it’s really unfortunate he had to leave.
There’s been a lot of talk about how he could possibly make a comeback – just like Mike Thalassitis did in last year’s series.
What they don’t want to happen is make it predictable though, so if Charlie does come back to the villa it’s going to be in an explosive way.
Bosses know what the public want and they have listened. Watch this space when it comes to Charlie.
Charlie was paired with Hayley Hughes on the show, and he reportedly believes that if he hadn’t been paired with her he would still be in the villa.
Speaking to The Sun, Charlie admitted that he would have chosen to couple up with Megan Barton Hanson if he could.
Megan’s a gorgeous girl.
She’s actually really nice and easy to get on with, so what’s not to like?
I wanted to give Hayley a really good chance but you know, I didn’t really put it on Megan much.
So I feel like if I did, then I probably would’ve come out successful.
Charlie also said he believed he would’ve beaten Eyal for Megan’s affection.
Hayley wasn’t so sure about Charlie’s confidence, telling him that he was ‘bitter’ and that he was short-sighted if he thought that being partnered with a different girl would have saved him.
The pair appeared on breakfast TV yesterday morning (June 18) and refused to sit next to each other. It’s safe to say they aren’t a match made in heaven.
A contestant making a comeback wouldn’t be a first for Love Island, as Mike Thalassitis – also known as ‘Muggy Mike’, returned to the ITV show last year. Viewers were given the choice to vote for two new islanders to join the villa, or see the return of Mike and another contestant, Sam Gowland. Of course, viewers chose the latter option.
The reality TV show could offer viewers the same option this year – if so we’ll see if Charlie appeals to the audience more than a potential new entry.
If the format ends up like last year’s, and you really don’t want to see Charlie back, you could attempt to be the villa’s newest inhabitant yourself.
Love Island applications are open until July 13, so you still have chance to get yourself a tan, get partnered up, and dive into incomprehensible amounts of drama.
