Being so confident you’d not only admit to making a sex tape, but then thinking you could sell it for £1million… that’s the type of confidence some of us can only dream of.
Gemma Collins, or ‘The GC’ as she likes to call herself, is that person.
News recently emerged the reality TV star had made a sex tape and it’s, as she says herself, ‘very good’.
As with most reality TV stars nowadays, Collins has always got an eye on potential business ventures, and revealed she’d sell said sex tape for the right price – a cool £1million.
Speaking to The Sun, the 37-year-old said:
I have actually made a sex tape and it’s very good, if I do say so myself.
I just made it because I was in love with my partner and I really fancied him, and always wanted to look at it again. It’s on an iPhone somewhere in my house.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the first time a reality TV star’s sex tape has leaked, but only adds to Collins’ confidence in the prospect of getting it out there.
She said:
I do feel my sex tape would knock Kim K off her pedestal. But I’d need a million for it… I would sell my sex tape for a million, yeah.
I know people would enjoy it. And I’d enjoy the money, because I could go on holiday for a year.
I’d like to set something up where they pay per clip to watch it.
Ever the entrepreneur, Collins has certainly made a name for herself since her time on The Only Way Is Essex, appearing in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! (for three days) and Celebrity Big Brother.
In fact, she’s become such an expert, Collins is now releasing a book about it all.
Titled The GC: How To Be A Diva, the book will apparently show her fans how to follow in her footsteps when it comes to living life as a diva, and how a diva should be ‘celebrated’ as someone who knows what they want.
For example, Collins does not allow anyone to contact her before 11am, and never uses public transport because ‘it’s not fabulous enough’.
She said:
At the end of the day, there’s always going to be younger, prettier girls but I know what I bring to the table.
There is only one GC, so whoever does end up with me in the end is a very lucky person.
While she may be hoping for a mil for her sex tape, Collins also admitted to turning down lucrative offers to make her own fitness DVDs, because the contracts demanded she lost half her weight.
She added:
Why change the person that everyone loves? You’re never going to see me drinking some protein shake and doing 20 squat thrusts. I will never follow suit.
I’ve never been 10st in my life. I was probably 10st when I was born, do you know what I mean? If I was 10st, I would look highly unattractive – it would be damaging to my body. I looked at the contract and said ‘forget it’.
UPDATE:
Gemma has since appeared on Loose Women where she denies having ever made a sex tape because she ‘ain’t got time’.
She told the panel:
I think I was being interviewed and I thought I need to come out and say something funny, and then I was just like, and really out there, so I said that.
You know when you panic a bit on the spot about how can I give them something so I just went, ‘oh yeah I’ve made a sex tape’ and I thought, ‘oh s***’.
When pressed further by panelist Janet Street Porter, Gemma added:
Janet, when I’m in the bedroom, there ain’t enough time for me to be recording. I’m going for it Beyonce style so I don’t have time to be doing that and recording at the same time.
Thanks for that.
