Jeremy Meeks, the ‘violent’ man otherwise known as the ‘Hot Felon’ is dating Chloe Green, the heir to the high street throne currently occupied by Sir Phillip Green.

After love’s young dream shared their new relationship with the world on Instagram two days ago, from aboard a super-yacht off the coast of Turkey, Sir Phillip has done what any father would do and buried his head in the sand over the matter of his daughter’s love life.

Responding ‘gruffly’ to lines of enquiry by the Telegraph, the billionaire said: “With respect, I am not getting involved in it.”

After all, on the top of the list of men you’d like your daughter to date, I’m betting a violent felon – no matter how hot he might be – is not making the grade anytime soon.

While Green himself is no stranger to trouble with the authorities – of the parliamentary persuasion – after becoming embroiled in scandal over the BHS pension fund, Mr Meeks, 32, of Stockton, California, was jailed for two years in 2014 for possession of a semi-automatic pistol.

Reports claim he has been ‘in and out of courtrooms most of his life’ for a range of offences. The highlights reel includes resisting arrest, negligent driving and identity theft.

And in 2002 he was arrested for beating a 16-year-old boy ‘to a pulp’ according to TMZ.

Local police described him as ‘one of the most violent criminals’ in Stockton and Meeks himself admitted heavy involvement with local gangs.

But Mr Meeks insists he has turned his life around – a pretty picture of reformation – with the help of his good looks.

Meeks was dubbed the ‘Blue Eyed Bandit’ and the ‘Hot Felon’ when his mugshot was released by Stockton Police Department and, upon his release, a six-figure modelling contract was handed straight to him.

Since, Meeks has walked catwalks globally and is now apparently coupled up with one of the biggest fashion heiresses in Britain.

Chloe one day stands to inherit a slice of Sir Philip’s £3.8 billion empire that includes Topshop, Topman and Dorothy Perkins in an oh-so stylish display of nepotism.

Pictures of the couple on the Hazar Yildizi yacht, which is available for charter at £112,000 a week, showing them to be very close were shared by Chloe with a caption that read: “Just the beginning. We appreciate all the love and all the hate.”

However, Chloe might regret courting hatred so overtly and has since chosen to delete her Instagram account after being slammed as a ‘homewrecker’ when the Internet Detectives questioned where Meeks’ Californian wife fit into the equation.

The family Christmas would certainly make for an interesting affair.
