Ejected I’m A Celebrity contestant Jack Maynard has reportedly been secretly dating a Love Island star for the past seven months.
Despite giving off the vibe that he is single on the show, the YouTuber has been dating former Page 3 girl Danielle Sellers.
While Jack has been seen flirting with fellow I’m A Celeb contestant Georgia Toffolo, from Made In Chelsea, the couple are said to be serious about the relationship, writes The Sun.
A source said that the two were introduced to each other by 22-year-old Jack’s older pop star brother Conor and that they are so serious, they spoke on the phone the night before he went into the jungle.
The source added:
Jack and Danielle had spent a lot of time together over the past seven months. They’d quietly attended industry events together and made no secret among pals of how close they were.
Jack has been making it sound like he’s single since he’s been on the show but he’s been saying different things around Danielle.
After spending only three days in the jungle, Jack left the show due to ‘circumstances outside camp’.
A series of tweets which saw Jack use inappropriate language such as ‘retards’ and ‘n***as’ were dug up from 2012 and went viral while the vlogger was in Australia.
With 1.2 million subscribers on his channel, Jack left the jungle so he could be made aware of the allegations and have the right to defend himself.
A statement from his publicist said:
In the last few days Jack Maynard has been the subject of a succession of media stories which, given his position as a contestant on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! – filmed in the Australian jungle, with no contact with the outside world, he has been unable to respond to.
Since it is only fair that everyone should be aware of any allegations made against them and should also have the right to defend themselves, it was agreed that it would be better to bring him out of the show.
They also added that Jack is ‘ashamed’ of the tweets and realises that the language he used was ‘completely unacceptable’.
However, earlier this week The Mirror claimed his removal from the jungle was due messages he allegedly sent to a 14-year-old girl asking to see her boobs.
The young woman spoke to the newspaper about the incident in which he apparently pestered her with aggressive messages and abuse when he was 17, though there is no suggestion he was aware of her age at the time.
Jack has yet to respond to these claims but he decided to delete his Facebook page which had 22,693 followers and was where the alleged messages were said to have come from.
He has responded to allegations about his offensive tweets in a video that was uploaded to his channel yesterday.
He said:
I never wanted to make anything like this, I feel like I’ve let you guys down so much, I was young, I was stupid, I was careless, I just wasn’t thinking.
This was back when I just left school and I don’t know what I was thinking. I was stupid, I said some really inconsiderate things.
The popular vlogger ended his video with a warning to his fans that they should avoid posting potentially offensive material online as it could come back to harm them many years later.
