John Cena is a firm favourite among WWE fans, and has been a staple part of the wrestling universe for quite some time, making his debut back in 2002.
Now whether you see him or not, (if you don’t get what I did there, then you’re definitely not a wrestling fan), his appearance has always remained pretty much the same.
Well, you might want to sit down for a minute as I reveal the news of how his personal appearance has taken a little bit of a left-turn…
I know it might be hard for some of you die-hard Cena fans to digest – but just keep repeating to yourself, ‘it’s just a goatee’.
I doubt very much it’s changed the legendary wrestler and actor at all! If that doesn’t work, then try telling yourself it could just be for a new film….you know, like some actors tend to do for films?
It seems there’s a few fans out there who can’t cope with this, erm, life-changing, very minor new look :
However, some of the Twitter-sphere appeared to make the same joke about his ‘beard’:
The new goatee/beard (what ever you want to call it), has come after a photo emerged of the star last week, (May 6), where he was seen sprouting the first few follicles of what many thought was a goatee-in-the-making.
One fan who shared the image on Twitter, even asked:
I wonder how long it’s gonna get?

If this is how fans are going to react when he makes such a small change to his appearance, heaven forbid he went and actually did something which was pretty different!
Imagine a bleach-haired John Cena, or perhaps a shaven-headed Cena – you really are fretting way too much here people!
Maybe his change in appearance is just the star embarking on a new look following his relationship with Nikki Bella ending?
Cena and Nikki announced they’d split up back in April, just days after they were spotted at WrestleMania, shocking fans of the wrestling duo.
The pair had been dating since 2012, and 40-year-old Cena even proposed to 34-year-old Bella, at Wrestlemania 33, in a very public display.
The couple said in a statement:
While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.
Cena has previously revealed he spends up to an hour a day shaving.
He told People:
I’m constantly trying to stay up on fine lines in my skin and that stuff, so I’m a lot more grooming-centric than you would realise.
My routine is a lot more than you would think – I’d say it’s a strong seven and a half out of 10.
I’m completely man-scaped from head to toe – from the ears down – so that takes a bit of time.
Since his separation with Nikki – which happened three weeks before they were due to be married – his appearances with WWE have been spared.
It’s thought the pair’s falling out will become the central theme of Nikki’s reality show, Total Bellas.
Wrestling fans were concerned about Cena after he posted some emotional snaps on his social media following the breakdown of their relationship.
He posted a photo on his Instagram, with a quote from a Walt Whitman poem, which read:
We were together. I forget the rest.
Over the last couple of days, rumours have been circulating the pair may be on the road to reconciliation.
While this remains to be seen, there’s no substantial evidence – but if they do get back together, we wish them the best of luck!
