While the Kardashians are no strangers to controversy and gossip, this week Khloe Kardashian firmly put one rumour to bed.

The reality star recently hit back at a troll who suggested that her relationship with Scott Disick was much more than platonic.

‘Refuse to believe they’ve never shagged,’ wrote one suspicious ‘fan’ on Khloe’s Instagram this week. The comment was sparked after Khloe paid tribute to ‘her brother’ Scott on Instagram.

Scott, who has three children with Khloe’s sister Kourtney, featured alongside Khloe in the picture celebrating his 36th birthday.

The caption read:

Happy birthday to my brother @letthelordbewithyou !!! I am so thankful to have such an incredible addition such as you to our family!

We have come such a long way, you and I! I am so thankful for the person that you have grown into.

The post, which received over 2 million likes, went on to say that she was proud of ‘one of her best friends’.

Taking the high road, Khloe explained that platonic relationships between men and women do exist. And no shagging between the two had ever occurred.

Kardashian responded:

I feel sad for you because apparently, you don’t have relationships in your life that can be completely platonic.

You don’t have relationships where someone genuinely loves and cares about you without wanting anything else besides a friendship.

She added: ‘Scott and I are family. Our family (Scott included) have experienced a ton together and we love each other fiercely because of it all,’ she continued.

‘I really pray that you have healthy loving relationships in your life. Where it’s an equal give-and-take relationship. I hope you have some relationships in your life where ‘shagging’ is NOT involved.’

After her very popular response, Khloe, arguably the fieriest of the Kardashian sisters added:

And I hope you stop saying the word shag lol
