There’ve been so many rumours surrounding Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy. Who was the surrogate? Was Kylie carrying the baby for Kim and Kanye?
Well, Sunday night’s season finale episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians was a big one – and it revealed all.
Not only did we see Kylie Jenner in a pregnant state, but we found out the gender of Khloe’s unborn baby, yet perhaps the biggest news of all was Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s surrogate – who carried baby Chicago West – appearing for the first time.
Ok, so we didn’t get to see her see her, the surrogate’s privacy had to be maintained so her face was never shown, but much to the amazement of viewers, the anonymous woman did speak openly and honestly with the entire family about her reasons for carrying Chicago.
A pregnant Kylie exclaimed:
This is so beautiful, this is so amazing.
Before the surrogate thanked her and said:
I’m so proud of doing it in general. Like, with all the women who do have pregnancy issues, that put so much trust in people like me, it’s amazing. It’s already a big deal.
It wasn’t long before momager Kris Jenner chirped up and in an emotive manner said:
Without you, this wouldn’t have been possible, so we can’t say thank you enough.
If you can remember as far back as January 15, this was the date Kim Kardashian announced the birth of Chicago – her third baby – in a blog post.
This was accompanied with the following statement:
Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl.
We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care.
North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.
This news comes after Kylie shared her first video of baby Stormi’s face. Does the Jenner/Kardashian machine ever stop churning out news and gossip?
Yet many have said it was ‘weird’ how she shared the video on Snapchat on Saturday, despite declaring on Twitter the app was ‘dead’ just a week or so earlier.
Kylie – the youngest of the Klan who shares Stormi with rapper Travis Scott – was said to have single-handedly wiped £1 billion off the value of the social media app with just one tweet.
The 20-year-old captioned the video of Stormi simply:
My sweet pretty girl.
The video wasn’t shared on any other social media sites until an hour later, although Travis did post a screenshot to his own Instagram almost immediately.
Fans were left wondering why the change of heart, with many believing bosses threw huge amounts of Kash at the reality star in order to get her and her hoards of fans, back on the site.
These rumours were only fuelled by celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton, who tweeted:
Sources tell me Snapchat PAID Kylie Jenner to post this first clear photo of her daughter’s face on their app! Smart of both of them!
Recently, Kylie has tweeted numerous times to talk about the fact she doesn’t Snap anymore.
In one tweet she wrote:
Sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me… ugh this is so sad.
Yet prior to this she posted to say:
Mm just saw the new Snapchat… I don’t know how I feel about it! What do you guys think?
When it comes to the Jenner/Kardashian Klan, any comment they make is listened to and taken on board by their millions of fans, so, as reported by the Mirror, following Kylie’s tweets, shares of the Snapchat parent company sank 6.1 percent, wiping out nearly £1 billion in its market value.
It’s no secret the Kardashians/Jenners regularly name-drop the app on their show – so many filters, so little time.
Interestingly though, Snapchat have denied the claims they paid Kylie to post.
After all though, who actually cares?
