The police had to be called to the actor’s home in January, when 59-year-old Ronald Eugene Griffin allegedly fiddled with the locks, before running off when he was approached by Halle’s gardener, TMZ reports.
Two months later, the police are said to have received a trespassing calls from staff at Berry’s home, who say Griffin was there with a locksmith trying to get into the house, insisting he was the owner of the home and had the deed to prove it.
PA ImagesIt’s reported he successfully managed to have one of the locks changed, and even contacted the police to complain when he was confronted by Halle’s staff inside the house.
TMZ reports that when police arrived, Griffin continued to insist he was the owner of the house, but Los Angeles police detectives quickly learned Griffin had fraudulently changed the title of the residence.
Berry told officers she had never seen the man before, had no idea who he was, and definitely didn’t give him permission to be in her house.
LAPD HandoutGriffin was arrested and charged with a felony count of procuring and offering a false warranty deed and another count of petty theft. He is up for bail with a bond of $36,000.
Interestingly, Griffin is said to not have known the home belonged the Halle Berry, rather it was just a random selection.
Unfortunately for Halle, this isn’t the first time she’s had intruders. In 2011 she walked into her kitchen and suddenly sensed feeling someone behind her.

As I opened my glass kitchen door and closed it behind me, all of a sudden I sensed someone behind me and turned to see the intruder standing less than a foot behind me, staring through my glass kitchen door.
Needless to say, the man was arrested.
Let’s hope bad things don’t come in threes for the actress.
