Mariah Carey isn’t happy about the disaster which was her New Year’s Eve performance at all and she’s throwing out some serious accusations.

The queen of pop is furious about the whole thing and convinced that the production company behind the New York show set her up to fail.

According to the Mirror, Mariah has pointed a bejewelled finger at the company and accused them of deliberately sabotaging her set to give their ratings a boost.

The diva’s camp claimed that the star had complained of earpiece problems earlier in the evening, but it was ominously never looked into…

Her spokeswoman Nicole Pence sent out a damning message against the producers, saying they ‘set her up to fail.’

The company in charge, Dick Clark Productions were horrified and wounded by the potentially career-wrecking accusations and fired back calling them ‘defamatory,’ ‘outrageous and frankly absurd.’

The company responded in a statement:

In very rare instances there are of course technical errors that can occur with live television, however, our initial investigation has indicated that DCP had no involvement in the challenges associated with Ms. Carey’s New Year’s Eve performance.

We want to be clear that we have the utmost respect for Ms. Carey as an artist and acknowledge her tremendous accomplishments in the industry.

However, despite the beef between the two headquarters, the diva herself posted a nonchalant message twitter saying that ‘shit happens,’ with a shrug of her shoulder.

The popstar lost her shit during the live performance as she disastrously attempted to lip-sync.

Apparently the wrong song played and because of Mariah’s ear piece problems, she couldn’t hear what she was singing.

She exclaimed on stage:

I’m trying to be a good sport here.

We didn’t have a check for this song… we’re missing some of the vocals, but it is what it is.

I’m just going to let the audience sing.

We didn’t have a sound check for this New Year’s baby, it is what it is.

Get these monitors on please.

When the next messed-up song played out, Mariah could be seen handing the mic round to the audience in the front row and then turned to her dancers to demand, ‘Just for laughs, do the lift.’

With anger and frustration growing inside her, Mariah had a visible tantrum on stage.

She cried:

I wanted a holiday too, can’t I just have one.

The whole cringe-worthy performance was viewed by millions of people around the world.

No getting away from the shame then…
