Instagram model and infamous hunter and angler Heidi V. Hoback, says that James messaged her directly on the social media site asking for some hunting lessons in exchange for some basketball tips.
No, seriously…

Athletes slide in girls DMs all the time so this isn’t the craziest part but sheesh, biggest buck I’ve ever seen over here.
In the snap you can clearly see James, whose account name is ‘King James’, asking Hoback:
Teach me how to hunt and I will teach you how to play ball.
Deal? Lol.
Hoback then continued the conversation with James, and although she decided to censor her replies with skull emojis in the screenshots she shared, it is clear she had a lot more to say than him leaving people questioning what the model exactly said to him.
Especially since the responses from the basketball star were certainly curious.
He replied with:
Wow!!! No freaking way.
Where are you?
Heidi Hoback / SnapchatAlthough Hoback seems to be brushing off the matter with her blunt Snapchat captions, it does appear that she was more into the conversation than she wanted her followers to think judging from the length of her messages.
Also, surely that would be a reason why she would censor her replies.
You also have to question what James’ intentions were here considering he chose to message this particular model and hunter when he is married with children.
GettyIt appears that Hoback’s followers were asking her the same questions as the model has now filmed a eight-minute long video explaining the story.
In the video Hoback clarifies that she didn’t know he was married, and explains that she wasn’t attempting to be suggestive in her Snapchat, saying that ‘the biggest buck [she had] ever seen’ was actually referring to a male deer she had seen moments before James messaged her.
She said:
I honestly was just having a normal day for me, going over and hunting and then this wild encounter with a buck happened and it just so happened to be right when LeBron DMed me, so I thought I would share that.
I took to my Snapchat to share it with my followers because I thought it would be a funny story. You know, the message was pretty innocent as far as I knew.
And then some of my followers informed me that he was married which I had no clue of because I don’t follow him, I don’t follow him. I wouldn’t consider myself a fan so I wasn’t aware of that at all.
So I guess it’s been misconstrued somehow and to saying that I was calling LeBron a buck, but you know I don’t even really know what that term means.
She ended the video with a message specifically for LeBron:
If you ever actually do want to go and hunt – you’re more than welcome to bring the whole family out and we can definitely arrange that here in Virginia.
Well I’m not sure what to believe but I don’t think Hoback will be taking the James family on a hunting trip anytime soon.
