Once again Piers Morgan is firing verbal shots once agin, but to no-one’s surprise the internet is calling him out for it.
The man just can’t get through a day without insulting someone choosing model Emily Ratajkowski as being his victim for today.
Not exactly one to hold back, Morgan dished out his opinion on Emily’s latest saucy photo-shoot for LOVE Magazine which she has described as ’empowering’.
The 26-year-old model, who shot to fame after appearing in the Blurred Lines music video, can be seen writhing around on a bed of spaghetti wearing lingerie in her latest photo-shoot.
Taken for LOVE Magazine‘s advent calendar, the eyebrow raising photos and videos have received much attention online with people either hating or loving it.
One person who was not impressed was Morgan who labelled Emily as being a ‘global bimbo’ on Good Morning Britain earlier today.
Hitting back at haters Emily claimed that the shoot promoted feminist values but Morgan was still not convinced saying:
She’s posted something on Instagram about how what we are watching now is unbelievably empowering to feminists.
She wants to take all her clothes off and then claim it’s promoting feminism.
What Emily is doing is using this in the name of feminism. Don’t use the excuse it’s feminism because it’s not.
For goodness sake – get some clothes on and get yourself a proper job.
His co-host Susanna Reid defended Emily though saying that she is a ‘very successful international model’ whom Morgan has a ‘personal vendetta against’.
On LOVE Magazine‘s Instagram a clip from the shoot was accompanied by an impassioned message from Emily that read:
To me, female sexuality and sexiness, no matter how conditioned it may be by a patriarchal ideal, can be incredibly empowering for a woman if she feels it is empowering to her.
The way I dress, act, flirt, dance, have sex – those are my decisions and they shouldn’t be impacted by men.
Being sexy is fun and I like it. I should never have to apologise for that. My life is on my terms and if I feel like putting on sexy underwear, it’s for me.
Personal choice is the core ideal in my concept of feminism.
You’re watching a video of a girl grinding in lingerie or whatever else and she is looking into the camera at the end saying, ‘you do you, however YOU want to, f*ck the rest’.
I’m tired of having to consider how I might be perceived by men if I wear the short skirt or post a sexy Instagram.
I want to do what I want to do. Feminism isn’t about adjusting, it’s about freedom and choice.
Well said Emily, well said!
Of course Morgan was called out for his ridiculous remarks on social media with many also praising his co-host Reid for standing up for Emily.
Well, if you will pay someone for a contrarian opinion you will likely get one.
