A Playboy model and ‘free the nipple’ campaigner has come under fire after walking through a conservative New York Jewish neighbourhood entirely naked.

Marisa Papen, from Belgium, was ‘chased out’ of a Hasidic community in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in March this year.

Video footage of the scandalous incident shows Marisa being ordered to ‘Go!’ and ‘Get out!’ by offended members of the public and later being questioned by police. She claims to have been ‘gurgled and spat at’.

The stunt forms part of the model’s latest religious-targeted project which has also seen her pose nude in front of a Jewish school bus.

No stranger to controversy or nudity, the model is continuing to rile religious communities with her series of controversial stunts.

Her risky, or rather, ‘risqué’ projects have also included stripping naked outside various religious buildings across Islamic, Christian and Jewish Faiths.

Marisa has also posed nude at Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia, Jerusalem’s Western Wall and near St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.

In one of the model’s more controversial photos, she walked naked outside the Vatican whilst carrying a large a Crucifix-like cross.

Marisa and her photographer Jesse Walker were reportedly chased by police, who detained them in a cell before releasing them 10 hours later.

Though seemingly hellbent to offend, Marisa’s considers her naked activities a form of activism.

The model says she’s keen to ‘push the boundaries or religion and politics’.

Away from religious themes and holy buildings, Marisa is a vocal supporter of the ‘free the nipple’ movement and campaigns for women to be allowed to go topless in public, like men.

On her blog, she wrote: ‘ Today, men walk around freely topless and you see at least ten bare male chests per fashion magazine. Women’s chests? Not so much.’
