The German film awards, Goldene Kamera, turned into a bit of a joke when a ludicrous version of Ryan Gosling stepped up to accept an award at the weekend.
The awards’ main focus is normally on homegrown, German talent, but apparently A-listers enjoy rocking upto the event aslong as there’s a trophy waiting.
Youtube/2DFSo to take the piss out of the whole thing, two comedians – Joko Winterscheidt and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf – teamed up to find a fake ‘Ryan Gosling’ and a create a whole load of live-action havoc.
It took quite a bit of time to pull off, so I guess we should commend them for their dedication, as they set up a sham agency, saying they could get the La La Land star to appear if he won something.
Their prank takes an excruciating turn when the host can barely contain his excitement, taking to the stage to introduce ‘one of the hottest stars in Hollywood… the one and only, Ryan Gosling.’
The doors pull back to reveal a man who definitely is not Ryan Gosling – and is in fact a chef from Munich called Ludwig Lehner – and awkwardness sweeps across the room…
Ryan’s unlikely doppelganger did not fool Nicole Kidman, Jane Fonda or Colin Farrell though, as they observe the whole thing in a kind of stunned silence, although the host is still seemingly oblivious.
A mixture of horror, confusion and hilarity grabs a hold of the audience as they watch him do his baffling speech.

I dedicate this award to Joko and Klass, thank you very much. There is a saying in Hamburg, which is, ‘bye, bye!’
Apparently blissfully unaware they were being hijacked by pranksters, the voice-over continues to translate ‘Ryan’s’ speech for German viewers.

The audience wait with baited breath for the penny to drop and the presenter, embarrassingly, has to admit there had been a mistake…
Following the successful hoax, the organisers behind the ceremony have allegedly vowed to re-assess their security policy.
