Forbes have released their official list of the world’s highest paid models in 2016 and it doesn’t include some of the people you might think.

Of course, number one stays the same for the millionth year in a row (will she ever be beaten?), but the legendary Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Doutzen Kroes, and Kate Moss have not made the cut this time around.

It looks like having deals with Chanel pays off… I might look into it as evening work.

In last place (well, 7th) at a mere $8.5 million, Cara Delevingne.

With 34 million followers on Instagram, Cara is the second most popular model on the social media platform.

Next up is Gigi Hadid, Zayn’s beautiful bae who recently showed everyone she is not to be messed with.

The American beauty is earning an incredible $9 million from her deals with Maybelline, Tommy Hilfiger, BMW, and Topshop.

And all before she turns 22.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the ultimate British rose, comes in 5th place earning a whopping $9 million this year.

Rosie has a luxuriously sexy lingerie and perfume range at Mark’s and Spencer which is obviously extremely lucrative.

In joint third place is the only Kardashian with a ‘proper’ job, Kendall Jenner.

Her highly successful modeling career has raked in a massive $10 million.

With 64.5 million Instagram followers, Kendall’s social media presence is indubitable.

She has enjoyed a 150 per cent increase in earnings in 2016 due to her million dollar deals with the likes of Estée Lauder and Calvin Klein.

Karlie Kloss joins Kendall at $10 million for 2016, which is double what she earned last year.

Karlie advertised for 18 different brands over the year including L’Oréal and Swarovski.

Adriana Lima, Victoria’s Secret’s longest running angel, clocked her biggest deal this year from her contract with the L Brands-owned lingerie giant, Maybelline and IWC watches.

Gisele Bündchen, the reigning Queen of Forbes‘ model rich list for the last decade and a half, has an estimated net worth of around $400 Million.

She was one of the first Victoria’s Secret angels back in 2000 and her modelling career doesn’t seem to have dipped despite the fact she is now 36 (pretty old in modelling terms).

And let’s not forget her amazing cameo in Devil Wear’s Prada.

According to Forbes, the world’s 20 highest-paid models earned a gross cumulative $154 million between June 1, 2015, and June 1, 2016, and boast close to 200 million Instagram followers combined.

Male models are not included in the ranking as they typically earn far less than female models (one of the only industries where the gender pay gap is reversed).
