Why The Queen Won’t Abdicate The Throne To Prince Charles

The Queen will never abdicate the throne to her son Prince Charles, Buckingham Palace insiders have reportedly said.

Despite being 91, and having served the UK as monarch for over 60 years, good old Queen Liz 2.0 won’t be hanging up her boots for Charles. Ever.

Must be pretty wounding when your only job is waiting to be King and your mum won’t stop acting up.

But a ‘source’ has taken time out of Palace duties to speak to a reporter about how much the Queen loves her job.

They told the Sunday Times:

The Queen has always been so vehement that there will never be a regency unless she was sick to the point of being unable to perform her duties.

As long as she’s healthy, regardless of her age, I don’t see a regency. Other members of the royal family can just do more.

Her hubby Prince Phillip recently retired from the public eye, presumably because he doesn’t give a shit anymore. Not that he ever did.

I’m no Royalist, but fair do’s to Liz getting all the mileage out of the job as she can.
