He said:

I did have dinner with him. I got invited by Jesse Ventura – this was in 2002 and I was in New York – and he said, ‘Will you come with me? Trump’s gonna try to get me to be his running mate on the 2004 ticket – Democratic ticket.

Yeah, he didn’t care then. I went, and it was brutal. It was brutal. I’d never met a more narcissistic man. He talked about himself the whole time. You could see the standard he was going to bear.

I had to walk out halfway through to smoke a joint just to steel myself.

Harrelson was there to discuss his upcoming film LBJ, a biopic of Lyndon B. Johnson.

In a recent interview, he said:

It’s timely. In many ways, he was a great president. Definitely you’d have to overlook getting bogged down in Vietnam.

Everything from the neck up to the forehead was prosthetics—the nose, the ears, the chin, the eyes had brown contacts, and I had a wig on. That was a big, big concern of mine. The lady that I worked with on The Hunger Games and several other things, her name’s Ve Neill and she’s a phenomenal makeup artist—she really, really helped me because the big risk about these things is that it could look fake.

Sounds messy.
