Mischa Barton Speaks Out Against Disgusting Trend

Mischa Barton has responded to the disgusting leak of an alleged sex tape which is being touted to porn sites.

Barton has become the latest victim of revenge pornography. The leak of the former The OC actress’ sex tape is the latest incident in an epidemic plaguing celebrities.

Barton’s lawyer, Lisa Bloom, has now released a statement condemning the despicable invasion of the 31-year-old’s privacy.

The statement reads:

Ms Barton does not consent to any disclosure of any such images. She believes that she was recorded without her consent by someone she was seeing at the time.

There’s a name for this disgusting conduct: revenge pornography. Revenge pornography is a form of sexual assault, and it is also a crime and a civil wrong in California. And we will not stand for it.

The civil rights attorney went on to state any company found attempting to ‘traffic’ the tape will be prosecuted ‘under every available criminal and civil law’.

Bloom added: “You proceed at your peril.”

Kevin Blatt, Hollywood’s sex-tape broker, told the Daily Mail:

The tape is being shopped around porn valley, the asking price is $500,000. I know that at least three large online porn sites, YouPorn.com, Porn.com and RedTube.com have reviewed it and they’re all seriously considering the offer.

I’ve seen stills from the video, it’s clearly Mischa in my opinion. She’s seen performing a sex act on a guy and can be seen having sex in various positions.

Revenge pornography is a terrible violation of a person’s privacy, a betrayal of trust and a particularly heinous crime to commit.

One source close to Barton told the Daily Mail: “This is the last thing Mischa needs. Her name has been dragged through the mud enough times, she doesn’t need a sex scandal right now.”

Too right too.
