The actress and model Cara Delevingne has taken to social media to share a scarily realistic video of her Gollum impression, and it ain’t half bad.

After The Lord Of The Rings first came out, everyone was walking round doing Gollum impressions. I know I was. It was ‘my precious’ this and ‘my precious’ that, or ‘stupid fat Hobbitses’ to anyone that crossed you, right…? Just me?

Anyhoo, Cara has posted a throwback video of her uncanny Gollum impression, where she even went the whole hobbit and shaved her head – I imagine she shaved her head specifically for this 10-second video. You’ve got to commit to these things after all, I still have a taste for live fish straight out the stream to this day.

Cara shaved her head for a role in the film Life In A Year.

Speaking to Glamour about the buzz cut, she said:

[It felt] totally liberating. But it does feel like people read my mind more. I feel like people see my thoughts.

Well, if this Gollum video is anything to go by, I’m sure not we need to read your mind to know what you’re thinking…

Nonetheless, Cara is obviously comfortable in her own skin, which is something that should be encouraged in everyone.

Speaking to Elle about her attitude towards herself, she said:

Accepting that is an everyday process. It’s about loving yourself, making sure that you’ve taken time to respect yourself. It’s about not blaming yourself for everything.

Check out the Gollum video for yourself:

The model and actor was rocking the shaved head for quite a while, and though it’s one of the boldest cuts a person can sport – especially when you’ve built a career from your looks – Cara still attracted ridicule from vicious trolls.

Of course, she was more than ready to stand up for herself.

Taking to Instagram at the time, she said:

Its exhausting to be told what beauty should look like. I am tired of society defining beauty for us. Strip away the clothes, Wipe Off the make up, cut off the hair.

Remove all the material possessions. Who are we? How are we defining beauty? What do we see as beautiful?

The more we embrace who we are as people and rely less on our physical attributes, the more empowered we become. Beauty shouldn’t be so easily defined. It is limitless.

If you after something weirder to look at, check out out video of celebrities with symmetrical faces.

It’s a strange notion that people don’t have symmetrical faces – you’d think most faces were symmetrical, unless you were a Picasso painting or something – but when you see the results of making people’s faces symmetrical, you’ll be thankful you don’t have one, it’s super weird

A perfectly symmetrical face or an uncanny impression of Gollum? Think I’ll go for Gollum please, everyone needs a party trick after all.
