Every celebrity who attends the Met Gala probably has their own way of getting ready for the extravagant event, and this year Lady Gaga revealed her preparations include not shaving her legs for four days.

The annual event is the definition of high fashion, and each year attendees deliver on the theme in incredible ways.

Last year it was ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’, which saw Rihanna rock up in an incredible silver dress complete with a papal tiara, Zendaya bear the weight of a chainmail gown, and Katy Perry sport huge angel’s wings.

2019’s Met Gala is set to take place tomorrow (May 6), with the theme ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’. According to Vogue, the contents of the exhibition will trace the origins of the subject from the 17th century, specifically the court of Versailles, to the present day.

At a press conference in February, American Vogue editor Anna Wintour explained:

Basically, we go from sun kings to drag queens.

With just one day to go, celebs are starting to make their way to New York City, where the event will be held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

Lady Gaga shared a picture of herself on a plane, where she posed in Doc Martins and a lemon-patterned dress, with a green, checkered shirt tied around her waist.

The caption read:

Met Gala here we come. Destination “Camp,” so excited to co-chair Anna’s event. #MetGala #MarcJacobs  (and I didn’t shave my legs for 4 days which really completes the look).

To be honest, four days really isn’t that long a time to go without shaving your legs… at least in my opinion. But I am slightly surprised the singer doesn’t have a team of beauticians following her around with waxing strips.

The outfit the A Star Is Born actor is wearing in the pictures is from Marc Jacobs’ Resort 2019 collection, suggesting she may be wearing something by Jacobs for the actual event, too.

The designer commented on her photo, writing:

Can’t wait to see your LEWK for Monday.

There’s sure to be some interesting outfits at the Met Gala tomorrow!
