Sophia Hadjipanteli/Instagram/ITVA model known for her jet-black monobrow has opened up about how she has received death threats because of her look.
22-year-old Cypriot-born model Sophia Hadjipanteli has posed for Guess, Vogue Italia and Rihanna’s SAVAGE X FENTY among others.
Her eccentric features are both equally recognisable and stunning, but she is bombarded with online abuse.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain earlier today, Sophia told hosts Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan she tries to ignore the numerous negative comments, which include death threats.
She said:
I have never based a lot of my self-confidence on how others treated me because in school I was bullied a lot for things not focused on my face.
I don’t like the negative attention. I get a lot of death threats. It’s disgusting then you think how is it that something, someone, somewhere has told this person it is so unacceptable to look the way I do that it infuriates them to the point to threaten my lift.
I try not to read a lot of them, a lot of people tell me when I get them so obviously I don’t really have the patience to go through and read every person’s comments.
Sophia added when she wants to read the ‘nice comments’ it is ‘a shame’ that she has to scroll through the negative ones, but explained it is ‘worth it’.

The natural blonde admitted it was only by accident she first dyed her eyebrows black in 2014, as she originally meant to only tint them.
However, she embraced the look, making a career out of it.
Feeling inspired by the brows, Sophia has started a ‘unibrow movement’ which has a body positive message at its core.
In an interview with UNILAD last year, Sophia explained how the trolls inspire her to prove them wrong by continuing with the movement.
She explained:
I know people’s reactions will either be very positive or very negative.
I wish they were all positive, but they’re not, and that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop what I’m doing.
I think we’re all hypocrites in some sense, but people pay such close attention to every little detail in the society we live in now, so they’re bound to judge every little thing you do.
Sophia has a monobrow, and that’s nobody’s business but hers.
Her movement and message is inspiring, and nothing will stop her!
