Ashley Graham is one of the most beautiful women in the world. It’s literally in her job description.

But supermodels are nothing if not aesthetic perfectionists, and the 30-year-old activist has just got a new tattoo on her neck to heighten what her mother gave her.

Graham got the delicate ink at a Revlon event dedicated to their Live Boldly campaign, of which Ashley is one of the faces.

Graham sure put her sponsorship money where her mouth is, and boldly took the ink plunge, getting a small homage to her husband, the film director, Justin Ervin, tattooed on her neck.

The ink was designed on the spot at the Revlon bash, on Wednesday, attended by all the women partaking in their new Live Boldly campaign – including Graham, Imaan Hammam, Raquel Zimmermann, Rina Fukushi, Adwoa Aboah and Achok Majak.

As part of the festivities, the celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy was there offering up fresh ink to adventurous party goers.

Then this happened:

If you can’t tell from the photo, her tattoo says ‘J.E.’ which are her husband’s initials.

Twitter reacted accordingly:

Others praised the tattoo artist for his delicate flair for the ink gun, and credited Ashley with her good taste.

@taliasita, engaging all caps locks, yelled into the ether:

SHE GOT HER FYCKUNG HUSBANDS INITIALS TATTOOED YESSSSSSS [sic]

User, @covermoreusa said the ink looks ‘Very cool’, while @alirosenyc went with the superlative and dubbed @theashleygraham ‘the coolest’.

When they scream ‘Hey Mr. & Mrs. Ervin!’

@mhathaway1015 thinks the tattoo is ‘Beautiful’ and @its_lo_mein added: “My two favorite [sic] people in one post, iconic”.

One woman, going by the handle @marnagee.scott was so impressed, she had to tag her mate @dazzlingdevi to say ‘wooow cute’, while others have called the design ‘classy’.

Of course, not everyone was so happy for the so-called plus size super star of fashion, and proud owner of a new neck tattoo, which is one of the more controversial spots to get inked in the eyes of those still living in the stone age.

Like Thomas Philip, of Boston, Massachusetts, who shared some advice with Ashley she had never even asked for, mansplaining the societal taboos around neck tattoos.

Offering the gospel according to no one, he said:

1. Never tattoo anyone’s name on you.

2. There is no such thing as a classy neck tattoo.

Bradley Scott Tharp, a Local/Regional Talent Buyer at The Phoenix Hill Tavern in Louisville, Kentucky got really political when he weighed in, without being asked.

He declared:

Saying ‘classy neck tattoo’ is like saying ‘Trump’s integrity’. Everyone knows you’re full of shit before they hear what you have to say.

In the interest of fairness, here’s what Ashley had to say about judgemental people on Chelsea:

Graham is no stranger to controversy where there should be none.

She recently starred in the LOVE Advent calendar, commissioned by the progressive fashion magazine as a showcase of Christmas festivities and fashion.

You can watch her contribution to the series in the video below:

The calendar video series got a lot of people riled up because Emily Ratajkowski ate pasta and Gigi Hadid hadn’t shaved her armpits, and lots of other people who don’t understand feminism questioned the model’s right to do what they please with their bodies.

Meanwhile, Graham should be applauded for representing herself in the way she sees fit when so many people, still, in this day and age, criticise her for it.

Never stop living boldly, Ashley, mini neck tattoo and all.
