Woman Left With ‘World’s Worst Hair Cut’ After Copying Instagram Look

Most of us know Instagram is a pixelated, curated perfect little lie – but not even a Valencia filter could make this social media-inspired trim look decent.

This hairy tale all began when 22-year-old Lucy Burrows had come across a pretty looking lid on the Grid.

After presumably fulfilling all the obligatory searches for what hairstyles will suit your face shape, she took the plunge and headed to the hairdresser.

The Swindon style-follower was after a mandala shape styled into the hair at the nape of her neck – no problem for a skilled craftsman or woman armed with clippers.

But the undercut proved too much for one stylist at Cheltenham-based salon Barber n’ Bar.

Lucy says she went in for the cut all the way back in August but laments her hair is only now just starting to recover after the stylist did this.

Lucy said:

I still can’t wear my hair up at all and it looks so bad and messy. You can’t tell as much anymore but it still feels very thin to me.

After a long argument, the hairdressers admitted they did do it to me and sent back £30 but I am still half bald which obviously isn’t great.

The mess of wonky lines not only left Lucy temporarily out of pocket, but also really dented her self-esteem, she claims.

For that, she was reimbursed an extra tenner on top of the cost of the £20 haircut. I’m not sure that’d stretch to natural treatment for hair growth but it’s the apology gesture which counts, I guess.

Thankfully, Lucy was able to contain her disappointment enough to avoid a scene like this:

Let’s hope the salon put some money towards training that stylist to know their artistic limits and not challenge themselves to push them on someone else’s head.
