UNILAD An 85-year-old teacher surprised his class when he started having a lightsaber fight with his wife in the middle of a lesson.
One day at a school in Florida, physics teacher Dr. Becht proved he was pretty cool when he got out a lightsaber and turned from teach to Jedi master, going as far as battling his wife, who often helps out with the class.
17-year-old Sam Stier captured the moment in all its glory taking to Twitter to share it with the world.
UNILADSam told UNILAD:
Previous to this he was educating us on the use of different lasers and about the laser attack by China on the US a few weeks ago.
I don’t quite remember how or why the lightsabers were brought out but all of a sudden him and his wife were wielding the red and blue lightsabers at each other and the whole class absolutely loved it!
They were all laughing a lot and completely taken by surprise because none of us expected them to just start battling in the middle of class.
He’s really into sci-fi and action movies. Towards the beginning of the year he started playing the Indiana Jones theme song and brought out his Indiana Jones whip and hat and demonstrated the physics behind the snapping sound the whip makes.
He also dedicated an entire day to showing us his massive collection of drones operated by remote control or through an iPad.
Why didn’t I have a teacher just like Dr. Becht. He sounds awesome!
Sam said Dr. Becht and his wife ‘definitely tied’ in the fight so that can only mean one thing – round two!

Sam’s tweet of course went viral as the internet just couldn’t get enough of the two teachers.
At time of writing (May 24) it has received over 7,000 retweets and 38,000 likes making Dr. Becht a viral sensation.
UNILADSam couldn’t believe it when the tweet when viral, adding:
I really did not expect it to at all! A bunch of my friends and other classmates kept coming up to me telling me that it went viral and I was just in a lot of shock and confusion because a lightsaber fight between my teachers seemed pretty normal to me.
If that’s normal, Sam, I really want to visit your school and see what other incredible stuff goes down!
UNILADThe internet just couldn’t get enough of Dr. Becht and his wife as people commented on Sam’s tweet ‘this is what happiness looks like’ and ‘this is the kind of relationship I aspire to have’.
Me too. Me too.
Someone even replied saying Dr. Becht and his wife were the epitome of ‘true love’. We couldn’t agree more!
