A girl who received a bunch of angry texts from a woman claiming to be pregnant shared the hilarious responses online.
Sophie, from Swindon, was astounded to receive a barrage of texts from a girl believing the number belonged to a guy, named Aidan, she’d slept with.
But instead of believing her when Sophie told Abbie she’d got the wrong number, it escalated.
I’m sure many people have wrong-numbered somebody intentionally, and while we don’t know that’s the case, the elusive Aidan’s clearly avoiding something.
Sophie, an optical assistant, said the first message started politely.
It read:
Hey it’s Abbie, so basically I’m pregnant and you’re the only person I’ve slept with in the past few months so it’s yours, can you give me a call or message so we can talk about it?
Sophie said she’d was half asleep when she first saw the message come through to her phone.
Telling UNILAD:
I saw the message and was still half asleep I was so confused. I was like ‘I haven’t got anyone pregnant, wait how can I get anyone pregnant anyway’, then I felt a bit bad because obviously she had the wrong number.
I told her she had the wrong number and then when she got all rude and just wasn’t believing it, I just got even more confused and baffled I didn’t know what to think or how to take it because of how she acted.
But when Sophie replied to say Abbie had the wrong number, well, it’s safe to say it didn’t go down that well.
Abbie said: ‘F**k off you’re always running away from responsibilities. Aidan this is serious.’
Again, Sophie informed Abbie she’d got the wrong number, and it wasn’t Aidan receiving her messages.
Sophie replied with her name and went as far as posting a photo of herself with her thumbs up, instead of this being the proof Sophie had hoped, Abbie accused her of being Aidan’s girlfriend instead.
Abbie replied:
Oh what so you’re his girlfriend??? Hahaha wow.
Well tell your d**k of a boyfriend we need to talk about this.
You’re a mug he cheated on you. [sic]
Sophie quickly replied to again stress the fact she wasn’t Aidan, but was met with ‘f**k off s**g’ instead.
Taking to Twitter, Sophie posted the screen grabs and wrote:
Good morning! Aidan, just to let ya know, Abbie is pregnant.
Sophie said the response she’s had since posting the screen grabs online has been ‘absolutely mad’, despite a few people claiming she’d made the whole thing up.
She told UNILAD:
I am literally just so shocked and overwhelmed don’t know what to do with myself.
It’s funny, a lot of the replies were calling it fake because I covered my face in the post but I just woke up I’m not posting a picture of my face first thing in the morning and people calling me fake which I found hilarious because if anyone knows me personally knows I love Twitter and I constantly tweet about anything and everything in my life and have done for the past few years.
A lot of the replies were people tagging people called Aidan, or guys called Aidan popping up like ‘I swear it’s not me’.
It is so hard to keep up with all the replies and notifications though my phone kept freezing and restarting it’s been on charge this whole time.
