The country cheered in unison yesterday (July 3) as England beat Colombia in the first knockout round of the World Cup via penalties.
The nation watched with baited breath as Eric Dier stepped forward to the penalty spot knowing millions of people were watching.
Dier didn’t let the pressure get to him though as his low effort nestled in the back of the net sending England through to the quarter-finals.
23-year-old Cordell Hobster from Nottingham filmed the amazing footage last night (July 3) in the city’s centre just outside the local Bierkeller.
He described how the rider joined the crowds putting his bike above his head and jumping up and down cheering alongside the thousands of revellers.
Speaking exclusively to UNILAD, Cordell added:
There was a big outburst as soon as we won the match. People flooded the streets holding up buses and cars.
Even police were just chanting and cheering. It was amazing. They loved the Deliveroo guy!
The match was brilliant and I genuinely thought we were going to lose so when we won I was so happy. I might have drank too much and was late to work!

Like most England football fans, Cordell believes it is coming home this year as the team ‘have got a really good chance at winning’.
In fact he said if England do win he is going to get the badge as a tattoo while he is in Ayia Napa on holiday for the final.

Leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, has called for a bank holiday if England do indeed win the World Cup.
After their triumphant victory last night, the Labour leader announced today (July 4) he would instate a public bank holiday if England bring it home on July 15.
The only problem is, it isn’t his decision to make.
As reported by The Mirror, a senior Labour spokesperson said:
The progress of the England team in the World Cup is very exciting for people across the country.
Obviously we need not to get ahead of ourselves, but Jeremy believes that if England win the World Cup, there should be a public holiday in celebration.
The spokesman also confirmed the bank holiday will be held shortly after a victory on a date agreed with business chiefs.
Unfortunately it would be a one-off not an annual event.
If May is still in charge, unfortunately it doesn’t appear like a bank holiday will be on the cards as she didn’t stay to watch the penalty shoot-out.
A Downing Street source said:
She did see some of it. She struggles to watch penalties because it’s a nerve-wracking time. She was very pleased with the result.
Well the rest of the nation had to watch it with baited breath Theresa no matter how stressful it was!
