A girl’s mum brought a blanket with her dog’s face on it as a present and the pup’s reaction is everything.

23-year-old Emily Vanover, from Los Angeles, adopted shitzhu Kevin when he was a six-month-old rescue puppy, and the pair have been inseparable ever since.

As Emily says, ‘he’s my entire life’ and so her mum brought her a blanket with Kevin’s face emblazoned on it for Christmas last year.

He clearly loves it just as much as Emily:

Speaking exclusively to UNILAD, Emily says two-year-old Kevin is obsessed with the blanket:

Everyone knows how much I love him so I’m always getting gifts from people for him. My mum took a photo I had of him and had it printed on a blanket at Walmart.

Every time I bring the blanket out he sits by it, licks it and cuddles it. Almost like he thinks it’s a friend.

Wherever we move it, he migrates toward it. If it’s on the couch, that’s where you’ll find Kevin. If it’s on the bed, that’s where he’ll be.

One day I was even in the kitchen making dinner and was confused because normally Kevin would be by me, begging for food. I went in our room and he was standing there with the biggest smile on his face next to his blanket.

It’s such a silly but sentimental gift.

Having travelled to Oregon to visit her family for Christmas, Emily added how on the journey back, Kevin wouldn’t let go of the blanket.

When Emily first adopted Kevin, he routinely had to see a vet for numerous reasons.

She explained how despite his health problems, he’s always been a loving and playful doggo:

He has multiple problems due to complications of being inbred. We had lots of vet appointments when he was a baby, due to him sleeping 21 hours a day, having seizures and not walking on his own.

Now, he’s a lot better than he was! He’s the sweetest little guy. He loves to be cuddled like a baby.

He also has strange quirks, like he’s deathly afraid of grass, but loves playing with hangers. It’s the weirdest thing.
