Halloween is the one time of year you can truly be extra, letting your imagination and creativity run wild with pumpkins, decorations and most importantly costumes.
While some people leave their outfits to the last minute putting zero effort in, others take fancy dress to new levels, spending time and money on creating the perfect costume.
To be honest each year I’m normally quite lazy putting on a black dress, drawing some whiskers on my face with eyeliner and whacking on some cat ears for a final touch.
But these incredible outfits have left me feeling quite inspired this Halloween…
Banksy’s shredding stunt took the internet by storm earlier this month and gave 30-year-old Jake Eddington from Arkansas, America a great idea for Halloween.
When his friend Will Tucker asked him for costume ideas, Jake drew Banksy’s iconic image of a girl reaching out for a red heart-shaped balloon onto a white t-shirt.
Cutting up half of the shirt, the tee now looked like it had been half-shredded, just like the graffiti artist’s famous painting.
Simple but so effective!
When Jake shared a photo of the costume on Reddit, he was surprised when it went viral receiving over 69,000 upvotes at time of writing (October 31).
He told UNILAD:
Everyone at the party loved it! It got him lots of attention but when I posted it yesterday to Reddit, I had no idea it would take off like it did!
It literally took less than 30 minutes to put together. I knew it was a cool idea, but I never thought that a last minute costume I made out of markers and old t-shirt was going to get any attention.
I’m not really into buying Halloween costumes at all, so I always try to do something creative and out of the box.
Well Jake, your costume was certainly much, much better than any you could have bought at a fancy dress shop.
One mum in the Philippines was also thinking out of the box this year putting together a Halloween outfit like none other for her daughter.
Krystal Hwang got crafting creating a truly terrifying outfit for her daughter Maya which makes it appear as if the child is a headless body carrying round its own head on a plate.
While so many elements of this outfit could have gone so wrong, Krystal completely nailed it!

Although Halloween is the scariest time of the year, not all outfits are spooky with many people dressing up like their favourite film and television characters.
Which is exactly what 23-year-old Heather Carson from Ayr, Scotland did pulling off the perfect Nessa from hit TV show Gavin & Stacey.
All together now, ‘oh, what’s occurin?’
While Heather’s outfit didn’t exactly fit in with the theme of the party she was attending, dead and famous, she couldn’t help but go as Vanessa ‘Nessa’ Shanessa Jenkins.
As Heather told UNILAD, a friend actually gave her the idea telling her she looked just like the famous character:
I was watching the show and my mate was saying to me that I remind her of Nessa sometimes. So I said to my friend that I was thinking of going as it for Halloween.
Although it didn’t fit the theme, I just said I’m still going to do it cause I think it will be funny as f*ck.
So I bought like most of it out of second-hand shops and bought the wig from Amazon which I cut and the tattoo from eBay!
I’m also heavier as well and I wanted to go as a costume that a could get away with! Honestly I think the photo is just hilarious! Hands down worst photo of me but I’m no caring cause I think I look really like her!
To be honest Heather, the resemblance is uncanny.
Talking about uncanny resemblances, 31-year-old Zach Rancourt from Seattle, America has often been told he is Taron Egerton’s doppelgänger, the actor most famous for playing spy Eggsy in the hit Kingsman film franchise.
Although Zach has often shrugged off these claims, when it came to choosing a Halloween outfit this year he thought why not embrace them.
Manners maketh man.
Dressing up in Eggsy’s iconic and dashing red dinner jacket for a party, Zach really does look like he should belong to the Kingsman.
He told UNILAD he couldn’t believe the reaction his outfit received:
I’ve had tons of random people and friends comment that I resemble Taron whenever I wear a suit. I was skeptical, but I decided to embrace it.
The overall reaction was fantastic! I had many people not sure who I was but I equally had a large amount of people just say ‘Kingsman’ or ‘Eggsy!’.
Halloween is my favorite holiday because you get to see the creativity people have on full display. I got high fives, pictures taken, and even some free beers. I had a great night in this costume and plan on doing it again for the actual Halloween night.
You certainly deserved those free beers Zach for your effort.
